A Brief History of Checklist for Jira Enterprise
Checklist for Jira | Enterprise was born by merging the functionality of two already successful apps (Issue Checklist for Jira Pro by HeroCoders and Checklist for Jira Cloud by Okapya Software) and adding in a few more great features.
To support existing Checklist for Jira Cloud customers, we’ve continued to maintain the original Checklist for Jira Cloud app. However, that won’t go on indefinitely. Support for Checklist for Jira Cloud will end on 31 December 2024, but there’s no reason to wait until then to start using the new Enterprise version of Checklist for Jira. Simply navigate to Jira Settings > Manage apps and click on the Update button.
Updating to the Enterprise version of the app will unlock some exciting new features we’ve added in the past few months:
- View your checklists in dark theme
- Provide more details with multiline descriptions of your checklist items
- Use tab view to save space when you have multiple checklists on an issue
How Can I Get Checklist for Jira Enterprise ?
Regardless of whether you’re a long time Checklist for Jira customer, or someone who is just now exploring the potential of checklists in Jira, getting started with Checklist for Jira Enterprise is easy:
Updating from Checklist for Jira Cloud to Checklist for Jira Enterprise
To start using the new features, simply execute a manual update of the app. Once you update, a simple click will start the import of all your existing checklists.
New to Using Jira Checklists

Upgrading from Checklist for Jira Pro or Checklist for Jira | Free
You can move to the Enterprise version of the app with all your data intact following the upgrade instructions here.
