This year marked our fifth year in the Atlassian Marketplace, and we’ve certainly made a splash in that time.

Here’s a few highlights from the last 12 months, as well as a look at what’s ahead for HeroCoders.

Building Strong Partnerships

We launched a partners program in mid-2023 to support Atlassian Solution Partners offering their clients integrated solutions using our products. Partners receive free licenses for internal use and demos, training with our Customer Success team, sales enablement materials, an exclusive Partner Newsletter, and expedited access to our support services.

A big thank you to Contegix, one of the first to join the program, and to additional partners Softlist and Tman.  A shout out too to all of the solution partners that have been selecting our products for their clients over many years. Thank you for your continued support and advocacy.

And we’re just getting started. If you’re a solution partner that wants to work with us, drop us a note on our Partner page.

Riding the Cloud

HeroCoders is a cloud-first company.  We exclusively build cloud-based solutions, not only because we know this is the future of work (as exemplified in the end of support for Jira Server February 15, 2024), but also because we have first-hand knowledge of the advantages. Cloud means we enjoy stable infrastructure with low overhead. It means our team can work from all corners of the globe. And it means we understand how our customers work.

Customers moving to cloud can rest assured that we will be there to support them. We have app importers, and a support team experienced in assisting with migrations. The fact that our apps were designed for cloud is reflected in their success – Issue Checklist Pro is the second-largest paid, cloud-only app in the Atlassian Marketplace.

We’ll continue building on that success, and using the lessons we learned along the way, to provide great tools for our cloud customers in the months and years to come.

Shaping the Future of Work Management

With more than 38k installs for the free version, and 5.5k for the paid version, Issue Checklist for Jira is one of the most popular apps in the Atlassian Marketplace. Clearly, everyone loves a good list!

We’ve been working this year to bring this great tool to Enterprise organizations. Knowing that it’s harder to ensure compliance and standardization in big companies, we’ve started our Enterprise journey by releasing Global checklists, and support for importers which make it easy for organizations who are converting from on-prem to Cloud.

We also added features that benefit teams of any size, like dark theme to keep you night owls happy, and (released just in time for the holidays) the ability to convert incomplete checklist items to subtasks with one simple click.

Whether you’re part of an agile dev team who needs to build Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria lists, a QA team wanting to ensure that features and fixes work in all environments, or a HR team that needs to check off that all the hiring forms got completed – a checklist is a simple yet powerful tool.

Better Time Tracking

We invested our team’s time in building lots of great new features for Clockwork this year, including:

🎉Clockwork Pro Free for Small Teams

And if that wasn’t enough good news for Clockwork users, we’ve made Clockwork Pro free for instances with 0-10 users. This is a risk-free opportunity for smaller organizations to improve their time tracking, planning, and time management.

Backed by Stellar support

Having great products is not enough. We know that you expect and deserve to have those products backed by a knowledgeable and responsive support team. Customers contact our Support team with requests for migration guidance, help with configuring apps to meet their specific needs and assistance integrating our apps with other apps from the Marketplace. Our team usually responds within 2 hours, and constantly receives kudos from happy customers who got the help they needed.

HeroCoders Team

Behind every great product, there’s a great team (or two).  This year we brought our team together in the beautiful city of Florence for the HeroCoders annual team retreat. Salted among the work sessions, we found time to walk, eat, drink and take in the masterpieces of Renaissance art.

How do we find the time and resources to go on a fabulous retreat every year? We use good tools – including our own apps – to maximize efficiency. Our team is 100% remote,  with talent from around the world, and continues to grow. In fact, we’re hiring a Systems Administrator in early 2024 so keep an eye on our Careers section if you’re interested.

What Next ?

We’re doing R&D on more products that take the hassle out of work including Clockwork for monday.com (launched in 2023), Todo Checklist for MS Teams (new feature to be released in January) and Epic Maps (recently improved with 10x faster loading time).

And Checklist for Jira Enterprise is just around the corner.

So stay tuned.

Meanwhile, we're wishing a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our fantastic customers and partners. See you in 2024. 🎄
